The Lifetime Power® Wireless Sensor System revolutionizes the deployment of environmental sensors for building automation, environmental monitoring, HVAC control, and energy management. Powered by radio waves or ultra long-life batteries, battery replacement is eliminated - temperature, humidity, and light sensors can send data every minute for 25 years using a pre-installed battery. A self-calibrating wireless CO2 sensor can operate for 15 years at a 5 minute interval.

Powercast’s system covers multiple deployment scenarios including placement in open areas, hard to reach locations, or even behind walls or above ceilings. Data is sent from the wireless sensors to a wireless BAS gateway to the wired building automation system network.

The BAS gateway receives data packets from the wireless sensors and makes the information available to wired BAS networks or Internet-based monitoring services through a range of industry standard protocols. Up to 100 sensors and 800 sensor points can be managed by the WSG-101 BAS gateway, providing significant scalability for current deployment and future system growth.

The TX91501 Powercaster transmitter wirelessly sends power and data using 915Mz radio waves to one or more RF-powered Lifetime Power wireless sensor nodes (WSN-1011/2), creating a reliable and predictable source of energy.
One or more transmitters can be used to create a wireless power network, similar to Wi-Fi or mobile networks, for low-power applications. The TX91501 is available with output power of 1W for shorter range or 3W for longer range.
