Powercast CES 2026 Recap: Wireless Power Emerges as Critical Infrastructure

CES 2026 was another milestone moment for Powercast, as global innovators and industry leaders gathered in Las Vegas to explore what’s next. This year’s show reinforced a clear message: wireless power is no longer “the future” — it’s NOW and quickly becoming critical infrastructure for the connected world.

From the Venetian Expo show floor, Powercast demonstrated how truly untethered power can transform everything from IoT and AI at the edge to enterprise, industrial, and consumer applications.

At CES 2026, Powercast showcased the industry’s broadest wireless power portfolio, spanning short-range to long-range solutions and microwatts to high-wattage power delivery. Attendees experienced live demonstrations highlighting how Powercast technologies eliminate wires and batteries—reducing maintenance, improving reliability, and supporting more sustainable system designs.

On the show floor, Powercast featured real-world demonstrations of wireless power in action, including:

  • A magnetic resonance–powered camera, wirelessly powered through a wall
  • The PCT300 battery-free RFID sensor tag, designed for temperature and humidity monitoring
  • A battery-free BLE tag, enabling wireless sensing and connectivity
  • A fully wireless desktop powered by magnetic resonance, featuring a monitor, laptop stand, desk lamp, keyboard, mouse, and a magnetic phone charging stand—all operating without cords

Key technologies on display included:

  • Long-range RF wireless power for battery-free sensors, tags, and low-power devices
  • Magnetic resonance wireless power, enabling desktop-scale power zones capable of delivering up to 100W total to multiple devices simultaneously
  • SmartInductive™ solutions delivering flexible, efficient near-field, high-power charging

Together, these platforms showed how wireless power can scale across use cases—from powering tiny sensors to enabling fully wire-free workspaces.

A major theme at CES 2026 was the rapid growth of IoT and AI at the edge—and the infrastructure required to support it. Powercast highlighted how battery-free and wire-free power architectures unlock new possibilities for:

  • Smart buildings and facilities monitoring

  • Supply chain and asset tracking

  • Data centers and critical environments

  • Industrial automation and sensing

By removing batteries and reducing wiring complexity, Powercast’s solutions help organizations deploy sensors and connected devices at scale—without the long-term maintenance burden.

Beyond the demos, CES 2026 was about connection. Powercast met with OEMs, system integrators, enterprise leaders, and technology partners from around the world—many of whom are actively looking for scalable wireless power solutions they can deploy today, not years down the road.

The conversations reinforced a growing shift across industries: wireless power is essential and redefining how devices are designed, deployed, and maintained. Powercast is proud to be at the center of that transformation, delivering proven, standards-compliant solutions that help customers build smarter, more sustainable products and infrastructure.
