Powercast will be exhibiting at Sensors Expo in San Jose, CA on June 22 & 23 2016. Powercast will be demonstrating readily available FCC/IC approved Powercaster® transmitters and Powerharvester® chips and modules. Companies looking for a new way to wirelessly power their devices are welcome to stop by the booth and review our products and technology.
Powercast will be exhibiting at RFID Journal Live in Orlando in May 2016 and will be demonstrating their new product solutions for wireless powering and recharging. Being featured at the show will be new, battery-free RFID Sensor Tags including sensors and displays. Michael Kosobucki, Director of Sales, Charles Greene, Ph.D., COO/CTO, and Eric Biel, Principal Engineer will be in attendance to discuss how the Powercast solution can power your devices wirelessly at distance.
Students from the University of Bologna in Italy entered the Airbus Fly Your Ideas Contest. The competition involved more than 500 teams from all over the world and Team TakeOff has been selected for the final stage. They have also entered the Top 8 Video Contest as Team #6. With a revolutionary idea, that could change the future of aviation.
Team TakeOff developed a system of sensors that help with the maintenance of airplanes. These sensors are powered by Powercast’s P2110-EVAL-01 Development Kit. Current monitoring systems use circuit boards, which require a lot of space, weight, and power. Team Takeoff designed sensors that will detect an issue and report the problem. The sensors are smaller, wireless, and require less power. Therefore, reducing the space, weight, and power that is currently used in airplanes.

Powercast’s Chief Technical Officer, Dr. Charles Greene, will present at the Future of Instrumentation and Internet Workshop 2015 on Passive, High-Function RFID: Sensors and Bi-Stable Displays. This conference is taking place in Arlington, Virginia May 4-6, 2015 at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association Conference Center. You can register here.
Powercast is happy to announce that a product we have been involved with is being launched at CES this week. The product is called “Vikaura” (vikaura.com), and incorporates Powercast’s power management system. The device enables users to drive images and information out of their phones and onto their Vikaura screens. Vikaura has also launched a Kickstarter campaign. Check it out, it is very cool, and a Kickstarter purchase will get you one of the first Vikaura Screens.
Thanks, wishing everyone a great 2015

Powercast announces the release of the P1110B module. The P1110B module is a drop in replacement for the P1110 module (now obsolete). The P1110B increases RF to DC conversion efficiency by up to ten percent.
The P2110B module is pin compatible with the P2110 module but has higher RF to DC conversion efficiency. If you have any questions about transitioning to the P2110B, the functional differences are detailed on the datasheet. You can also email our Team at support@www.powercastco.com.
